What is the Columbia Trail Tromp?

An effort to bring a community together with a common goal of finding a cure for cancer.

When is the next Tromp scheduled?

The Tromp will be held the Last Sunday before Labor Day weekend.

What time does the event start?

Check in for bikes starts at 7:00am, Walkers and runners can check in anytime after 8:30am. We wrap everything up at noon. The last shuttles leaves High Bridge at Noon. Please plan accordingly

What should I bring to the event?

Please be sure to bring a cell phone and a helmet if you’re biking.

How do I participate?

Please be sure to register by August 13th to ensure a T Shirt and goody bag. If you show up the day of event we will love to have you and accept your donation on site, unfortunately we won’t have a T Shirt for you.

Where does the money raised go?

The money goes to Pancreatic Cancer Research.

Where should I park on the day of the Tromp?

You should park on West Mill Road at the Long Valley Middle School. . Shuttles from the middle school to 24 Schooley’s Mountain Road will be provided.

How do I volunteer or help?

How much does it cost to participate?

$20.00 per person, $50.00 per family (up to 4 participants), and $10.00 for seniors.

What if I don’t want to do the entire 24-miles ride/walk?

No problem! Go as far as you’d like and turn around or use the shuttle at Califon which is 6 miles from Long Valley, or High Bridge which is 12 miles.

Where are the checkpoints?

There will be many people on the trail who are part of the event staff. We will be sending all registrants an email explaining all that.There are crossing guards at every cross street along the way. There are three, water and toilet rest areas. Route 513, Califon Island Park and High Bridge.

How many people can I bring?

As many as you would like, the more the merrier! In fact, the biggest “team” will receive a prize!

What if I can’t make it?

We appreciate the donation for our worthy cause. You can still pick up your T Shirt and goody bag …contact us to arrange a time.

What happens if it rains?

The event is rain or shine. We will send all registered participants an email if we do have to cancel due to severe weather. We will also post on the website prior to 6:30 am on event day.
